The 2022 Annual Conference of China Real Estate Appraisal Successfuly Held Online
On December 2nd, the 2022 Annual Conference of China Real Estate Appraisal was successfuly held online with the theme of "Adapting to Changes in Demand for Appraisal". Dr. Chai Qiang, President of CIREA, delivered a keynote speech at the Annual Conference. Mr. Zhao Xinming, Vice President and Secretary General of CIREA, presided over the Annual Conference .
In recent years, China's economy has shifted from a stage of rapid growth to a stage of high-quality development, and the mode of urban development and construction has shifted from one based on large-scale incremental construction to one based on upgrading the quality of the stock, resulting in a major change in the development environment of the real estate appraisal industry.
In Dr. Chai Qiang’s speech, he analysed the current critical situation facing the development of real estate appraisal agencies, discussed the significant changes in the external environment of real estate appraisal and the impact on the appraisal industry, and pointed out the direction for the future development of appraisal agencies. He indicated that the current external environment for the survival and development of appraisal agencies has undergone significant changes relatively quickly, and that real estate appraisal agencies have to evolve with the changes in the environment. In the long run, it is the supply of appraisal that creates the demand for appraisal, and new appraisal needs must be identified, activated and channelled.
15 heads of renowned real estate appraisal agencies, heads of local industry organisations and relevant experts and scholars gathered online to deliver keynote speeches on major topics - changes in the current development environment of the real estate appraisal industry, challenges faced and effective responses, new opportunities for the development of the real estate appraisal industry under the new situation, emerging real estate appraisal business types and appraisal practices, real estate appraisal risk prevention and talent training, digital transformation and innovative development of the real estate appraisal industry.
According to the speakers, at present, due to the macroeconomic environment and changes in the real estate market, real estate appraisal agencies are facing serious challenges to their survival, and it is difficult to adapt to the new requirements of the real estate appraisal industry in the new development stage by relying on traditional and single appraisal business. Appraisal agencies need to focus on deepening market segments and improving service efficiency, paying close attention on urban renewal, rural revitalisation, ecological construction, resource integration and other areas, actively expanding consultancy services, exploring new business opportunities and building new development patterns. At the same time, it should continue to strengthen real estate appraisal risk prevention and talent training, and establish a sound quality management control system to achieve sustainable and high-quality development of the industry.
The Annual Conference attracted more than 400,000 real estate appraisers and practitioners from all over the country to join online.
